Every Piece Has a Story Worth Saving
Wild Sunflower Restorations began with a single piece of furniture that meant everything to me - my parents’ first chest of drawers from their very first bedroom set.
After both of my parents passed away, that piece became more than furniture. It held memories, stories, and pieces of family history that could never be replaced. During a move from Louisiana to Texas, it was damaged in storage, and I was determined to save it instead of letting it be lost.
As I cleaned, restored, and refinished that piece, something unexpected happened - I fell completely in love with the process of bringing old furniture back to life.
Since then, restoring furniture has become much more than a business to me. Every piece carries a story. I’m drawn to the character, craftsmanship, and history found in vintage furniture - the dovetail drawers, worn wood, rounded feet, little details that remind us these pieces were once part of someone’s everyday life and home.
I don’t approach furniture restoration as fast flipping or mass production. I hand paint each piece and let the furniture guide the process. Sometimes I bring a piece home with one vision in mind, only for the piece itself to reveal something completely different as I work on it. That creative process - the quietness of it, the transformation, seeing a piece come back to life - is what I love most.
Home has always mattered deeply to me. One of the greatest compliments I’ve ever received was from my sister, who once told me, “You make every house feel like home.” That feeling is at the heart of Wild Sunflower Restorations. I want the pieces I create to feel like they belong - like they’ve found their place in someone’s home and story.
The “restoration” part of this business goes beyond furniture for me. For over a decade, natural living and Young Living oils have also been woven into my everyday life and home. Restoration, to me, is about creating spaces filled with warmth, peace, beauty, and intentional living.
More than anything, I hope when people step into my studio - or even into this online space - they feel welcomed, inspired, and at home.
Where vintage charm meets natural calm.
